These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of NewsPulse at newspulse.app-artery.com (“the Service”), operated by App Artery(“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
About the Service
NewsPulse is a free news-reading service that aggregates headlines, short snippets, and images from third-party news sources via the GNews API. We do not create the underlying news content, and we are not the original publisher of it. Each item links to its original source so you can read the full article from the publisher.
NewsPulse also provides AI-generated features, including a daily briefing, story groupings, and source-perspective summaries.
AI-generated content may be inaccurate
The daily briefing and other AI-generated features on NewsPulse are produced automatically using artificial intelligence (Google Gemini). AI-generated content can be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong. It is provided for general interest only and must not be relied upon as an accurate or authoritative account of events.
Always refer to the original article from the publisher for authoritative reporting. Where an AI-generated summary and an original article disagree, the original article should be treated as the correct source.
Provided “as is”
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any content (including AI-generated content and third-party content) is accurate, complete, or current.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from:
- your use of, or reliance on, any content on the Service, including AI-generated content and third-party content;
- any inaccuracy, omission, or error in that content; or
- any interruption to, or unavailability of, the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Intellectual property and attribution
Headlines, article text, snippets, and images shown on NewsPulse are sourced via the GNews API and remain the property of their respective publishers and rights holders. We claim no ownership over that content, and it is shown to direct you to the original source.
The NewsPulse name, design, layout, and original software are owned by us. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute them without our permission.
If you are a rights holder and believe content has been displayed in a way that infringes your rights, please contact us at privacy@app-artery.com and we will respond promptly.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to:
- attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service;
- scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content for redistribution; or
- use the Service in any way that breaches the rights of the original content publishers.
Age
NewsPulse is not directed at children under the age of 18. By using the Service you confirm that you are 18 or over.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
